CAREER
By the age of 13, Roman had won numerous titles, including the Czech Championship and the European Vice- Championship across categories ranging from minibikes to Ohvale motorcycles. On multiple occasions, he was the sole representative of the Czech Republic at the World Championship in Spain, consistently finishing in the TOP 10.
Currently, at the end of the 2025 seaseon, Roman finished the Northern Talent Cup (NTC) championship in 9th place overall. Roman’s standout performance of the year came in July during the MotoGP in Brno. In a race packed with fierce battles for every position, he completely thrilled the home crowd, crossing the finish line just 0.3 seconds behind the winner. This was the best race of his career so far.
Recently, he was invited to the selection event for the best of the best—the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup—held in Guadix, Spain. He advanced to the final 50 riders, leaving behind an incredibly strong international field. While he did not make the final cut of the top 8 riders, this experience has made him even more determined to return next year fully prepared.
2025
A year of major transition to full-sized road racing circuits. Roman competes under the FS12 Racing Team in the prestigious European championship, the Northern Talent Cup (NTC), focusing on gaining experience to fight for the top spots the following year.
The NTC is designed for riders aged 14–17 from Central and Eastern Europe, all racing on identical Honda NSF250R (Moto3) machinery. It is a highly popular and closely watched series by world-class team managers, especially since it features support races for MotoGP in Brno and WorldSBK in Most.
Roman’s biggest success of the season—and the highlight of his career so far—came in July during the return of MotoGP to Brno. In front of packed home grandstands, Roman put on a spectacular performance, fighting for the win in both races.
After finishing 4th on Saturday, he learned from his mistakes to secure a sensational 2nd place on Sunday, just 0.3 seconds behind the winner. This performance played a major role in securing his invitation to the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup selection event.
Roman finished the NTC season in 9th place overall, as the 2nd best rookie of the year and the top-performing Czech rider.
Roman was invited to the selection event for the best of the best—the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, held in Guadix, Spain. Out of 113 riders from 38 nations, Roman was the sole Czech representative and delivered an outstanding performance. On the first day, he was selected among the top 50 riders in the world to advance to the final day. The level of competition was exceptionally high. Although he gave his absolute best and was very satisfied with his performance, he was not selected among the final 8 riders. Despite the initial disappointment, finishing in the top 50 worldwide in this elite class is a massive achievement.

GOALS FOR 2026 AND BEYOND...
My journey, my immediate goal, and my dream is to compete in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. I am fully committed to preparing in the best possible way. This includes returning to the Northern Talent Cup (NTC) in 2026 with a completely different mindset, utilizing my experience to fight for the top spots. My primary objective is to win the 2026 NTC title and secure direct promotion to the Red Bull Rookies Cup.
To achieve this, I am committing myself to the most to the most intensive preparation possible. I am planning winter training camps in Spain in close cooperation with my team FS12, and particularly with Filip Salač, who is helping me immensely as a coach. For my training, I plan to use a variety of bikes, from Ohvale and Moto3 to Honda 600 and flat track. Unfortunately, as this seaseon has shown, our plans for next year depend heavily on financial support, which remains our biggest challenge. To remain competive, it is essential that I participate in wildcard rounds od the European Talent Cup (ETC) in Spain, which is the most competitive junior series in the world. However, the budget for a seat in this championship is around 100,000 EUR.
Given my performance at the Red Bull Rookies Cup selection, it is clear that I belong among the top riders in my
category. I am looking to build strong relationships and secure backing from the right partners.
It all started with one race.
2017
At the end of the year, at just 6 years old, Roman enters his very first Czech National Championship minibike race in the Junior A category at the GP Smrz Academy in České Budějovice.
2018
Roman is a regular participant at the newly opened Lukáš Pešek Riding School at Kartcentrum Radotín in Prague. He competes in the full season of the Czech Minimoto Championship (Miniracing) in the Junior A category, finishing 5th overall and earning the “Rookie of the Year 2018” award.

2019
At the beginning of the year, Lukáš Pešek’s racing team is officially introduced, and Roman becomes its first member. Under this team, he competes in the full season of the Czech Miniracing Championship in the Minimoto Junior A category, securing 3rd place overall (notably as the only rider competing on a 2-stroke Blata machine). Roman also participates in his first European Championship in Assen, Netherlands, bringing home valuable experience and a 6th-place finish overall. At the end of the year, he tests his skills against strong Italian competition in Codogno, Italy, where he takes a fantastic 1st place in a wet race.

2020
In his final year in the Minimoto Junior A category, Roman achieves absolute dominance by winning all 9 races of the Czech Miniracing Championship, claiming the Czech Champion title. In the same year, he participates in the European Championship in Adria, Italy, securing 5th place.

2021
The transition to the larger Ohvale 110 bike is unfortunately set back at the start of the season when Roman crashes and fractures his right ulna. Despite missing the beginning of the season, Roman fights back to finish 3rd overall in the Czech Championship. He wins the final race of the season, making the transition to the Ohvale 160 the obvious next step.

2022
This year is a major milestone for Roman as he joins the new FIM MiniGP World Series project. He qualifies for the world finals as the undefeated champion of the FIM MiniGP Alpe Adria series in the Ohvale 160 category. Later that year, he secures an impressive 8th place at the World Final in Valencia. To gain further international experience, Roman actively competes in the highly competitive Italian CIV Junior Championship, claiming several podium finishes in the Ohvale 160 class in a grid of over 30 riders.

2023
The year Roman officially wraps up his ice hockey career with the Mostečtí Lvi club and makes another transition, this time to the Ohvale GP2 190 class, which was again full of great finishes. Roman qualifies for the FIM MiniGP World Series Final in Valencia, advancing as the undefeated champion of the FIM MiniGP Alpe Adria series. In this higher category and at the level of the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe, he has no competition. He concludes the World Final in Valencia in the TOP 10. He also actively participates in the Italian CIV Junior GP2 190 class, finishing 9th overall despite missing four races.

2024
Competing in his second year in the Ohvale GP2 190 class, this marks Roman’s final season on mid-sized Ohvale motorcycles. Throughout the year, he sets multiple track records and claims the Czech Champion title. He also dominates the newly established FIM MiniGP Czech Series, qualifying in 1st place for the World Final in Aragon, Spain, where he finishes 9th—confirming that his top-10 world status for three consecutive years is no coincidence. This year, Roman started in only two races of the Italian CIV Junior, with a best finish of 4th place. He also secured the European Vice-Champion title at the Slovakia Ring, where the top spot narrowly escaped him due to a technical failure. Roman bids farewell to kart-track racing and concludes his successful 6-year journey with the Lukáš Pešek team.
